Unpaid Internships
There are two parts to the Unpaid Internships program: a study portion and an internship placement. Canadian immigration regulations require that the internship placement is no more than 50% of the program length.
As well as the CEIP application form, we will ask for a CV/Resume and cover letter. We will also pre-test your English level. You must have a minimum level of Higher Intermediate by the time of placement.
Please note that a Study or Co-op Work Permit may be required for this program.
Although we cannot guarantee placement in a specific company, we will place you in a position which is relevant to you and matches your experience and/or studies.
These are some of the benefits of the Unpaid Internships program:
- Improve your résumé with Canadian professional experience.
- Lots of opportunities available, particularly in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Business Administration and Tourism.
- Practice your English in a business environment.
- Learn industry vocabulary.
- Meet Canadians.
- Get a letter of recommendation at the end of your placement.
